"Tomek was not only one of the most talented and versatile athletes I have ever coached, but also one of the fiercest competitors. His innate athletic ability allowed him to excel in multiple events and made him a key component in the continued success of our program at Rio Mesa. His technical expertise, winning attitude, and understanding of the team aspect of Track & Field will no doubt serve his athletes well as he continues his career as a head coach."

"Coach Czerwinski is one of the most talented young coaches in CIF today.  His proven abilities as an exceptional athlete while in high school, community college, and the university levels provide him a perspective and experience level that his students will benefit from in all regards as student athletes.  As one of Tom's coaches at Mt. SAC, I found his positive attitude and high work ethic to be among his most obvious gifts, but few outside our circle could ever know just how fearless he was in the face of adversity. As a decathlete, to remain physically durable has long been acknowledged as a key component to any successful combined events athlete. Yet, for those that are unique, the psychological, emotional, and cognitive durability goes unacknowledged or even unappreciated.  Tom's skill set in these areas relevant to being an exceptional problem solver and competitive champion will transfer into his role as coach, mentor, leader, and developer of effective student athletes that are challenged to reach and exceed their potential and expectations as people. Tom's passion for teaching, genuine concern for the individual, and value for a team concept will be a blessing to his students, staff, institution, community, and sport, and will create a culture of winning that enhances the lives of everyone around him"
