Girls JV

The Tritons had a dominating performance against the Vikings, bringing their overall record to 3-0 with a chance to win their first Pacific View League Championship in the Girl's team history. Anissa Cason won the 100, 200, high jump, and was part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Macey Holmes won the 400, triple jump, and was a part of the winning 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Joanna Dam was a double winner as she took victories in the 800 and 1600. Alejandra Duran won the 3200. Ceana Mesa was also a double winner as she took the shot put and discus. Sofia Marquez jumped a lifetime best in the long jump to take the victory. Genre Transfiguracion won the 300 hurdles in her first attempt at the event. Freshman Emmaly Monroy Hernandez was 2nd in the 200, 3rd in the 100 and was on both winning 4x100m and 4x400m relays teams. Freshman Pauline Gomez was 3rd in the 200 and was on the winning 4x400m relay team. With a plethora of new hurdlers, Summer Ursua was 2nd and 3rd in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Alana Davis was 3rd in the 100 hurdles. Julie Soto was 2nd in the 400 and was part of the winning 4x400m relay team. Shanelle Manalo was 2nd in the 100. Anaira Palomar was 2nd in the 800. Samantha Dianni and Jillian Firestone were 2nd and 3rd in the long jump. Eva Toledo Ramos was 2nd in the high jump. Alexa Fierro was 2nd in the triple jump. Denise Cardona and Breanna Morales were 2nd and 3rd in the discus. 

Boys JV

The Boys also dominated with a lot of impressive performances. Sophomore Isaiah Moon was a triple winner, taking the 100, long jump, triple jump and was also a part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Freshman Jonathon Saucedo won the 1600 and 3200, while teammate Gabriel Olivares won the 800 and was 2nd in the 3200. Sebastian Cervantes won the 200, was 2nd in the 100, and was a part of the winning 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Nohl Williams was a double winner taking the 400, high jump, and also was a part of the winning 4x400m relay team. Bryan Diaz was 2nd in the 400, 3rd in the 800, and was part of the winning 4x400m relay team. Daniel Pierce took the hurdle double, winning the 110m and 300m hurdle races in his debut, he also placed 3rd in the high jump, and was part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Devin Aupiu was 2nd in the high jump, 110m hurdles, and was 3rd in the triple jump. David Salazar was 2nd in the long jump and triple jump. Angel Dominguez took 2nd in the 300m hurdles, 3rd in the 400, and was part of the winning 4x400m relay team. Jesus Jaramillo was first in the discus and 3rd in the shot put. Maurice Ramirez was 1st in the shot put and 3rd in the discus. Danilo Juarez picked up a 2nd in the discus. Edward Luna was 3rd in the 200m.

Girls Varsity

The Tritons took care of business bringing their record to 2-1 setting up a showdown with Oxnard for the Gonzales Rd Trophy next Wednesday. Kierra Sherrod set a school record in the 100m dash. Dajshai Bennett was a double winner taking the 400 and 200, and also was a part of the winning 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Kimora Pooler was a double winner taking the shot put and high jump, and was also 2nd in the discus. Gillian Serate was also a double winner taking the long jump and triple jump, she was also part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Alexis Short won the discus and was 3rd in the shot put. Samantha Tamayo was 2nd in the 100 and 200, and was on the winning 4x100m relay team. Samantha Martinez was 3rd in the 400 and was on the winning 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams. Jasmine Guerrero was 2nd in the long jump and 3rd in the triple jump, and was on the winning 4x400m relay team. Leana Magdaleno was 3rd in the 800m. Esmeralda Soliz was 2nd in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, high jump, and triple jump. Desiree Hernandez was 3rd in the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles. 

Boys Varsity

The Boys took a tough loss by 1 point to a talented Hueneme team. Jacob Guzman had two major lifetime bests breaking the school record in the shot put and also took 2nd in the discus. Kyrie Wilson was a double winner, taking the long jump, 200m, and was part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Michael Johnson was to 100m winner, and anchored the winning 4x100m relay team. Malik Sherrod won the 110m hurdles, was 2nd in the 100m, 3rd in the 200m, and was part of the winning 4x100m relay team. Paul Blevins won the 300m hurdles. Brandon Lyons won the triple jump. Cyrus Prudhomme won the high jump in his time trying the event. Freshman Christian Alejandre threw a huge personal best to get 2nd in the discus. Victor Santandor was 2nd in the 110m hurdles and 3rd in the 300m hurdles. Edgar Romero was 2nd in the 400m. Michael Chester and Victor Villadolid were 2nd and 3rd in the triple jump. Kelley Campbell was 3rd in the long jump. Jamshid Atashbar was 3rd in the high jump.
